Creative3 was held 26th-28th October 2011 in Brisbane, bringing together a convergence of Creativity, Enterprise and Investment. Anna Rooke and her team from the QUT created an amazing few days with many inspiring keynotes including those from headliner Stefan Sagmeister – introduced as the world’s most iconic graphic designer, Caroline Hamilton – polar explorer and head of Icebreaker Management Ltd and fellow Pollenizer Start-up Rebekah Campbell from Posse.com.
Congratulations to Nimrod Klayman and his team at WizzyBoard for winning the QUT Creative Enterprise Australia’s Creative3 Investment Marketplace pitch event held on day 3 of the event. WizzyBoard is a disruptive object recognition technology which provides a conduit between the physical world and the digital world. WizzyBoard’s technology creates a new and exciting method of gaming and edutainment where objects or toys can be easily and inexpensively converted for recognition on iPads or Android devices

Oomph is looking forward to working with WizzyBoard over the next year as part of our sponsorship of the Creative Prize.
We created the Creative3 Forum iPad app (see top picture of the App in action) using our Oomph digital publishing platform. we wanted to create something special for the event that showcased what could happen when beautiful designs and technology come together.
We transformed the very well designed print brochure made by Cocoon Industries into a rich multi media event hub using Oomph, with live twitter feeds, location services, note taking capability alongside all the event information.
A highlight was meeting the many creative entrepreneurs who attended the event and networking functions (including the gala dinner – see photo below!) and we look forward to working with many of you in the future.
