Developers are planning iPhone software that uses GPS to locate patrons on an interactive map.

Any nearby restaurants found to have breached health regulations are highlighted by a red pointer.

The presentation was well received by the audience of around 150. A big thank you to Oliver Weidlich, Shane Williamson and Tim Parsons of Mobile Mondays Sydney.

An informal poll was held asking how the audience had acquired mobile content in the last month, the results were startling – NOTE the audience is not a typical consumer audience.

In the last month:
Question: Who bought content paid for by Premium SMS?
Answer: 1

Question: Who bought content paid for by Carrier billing?
Answer: 2-3

Question: Who bought iPhone apps?
Answer: 30 – 40

Tomorrow MoGeneration CTO Tom Adams is giving a guest lecture (sorry students only) in the Designing Mobile Applications course at University of Queensland, Australia. In May CEO Keith Ahern will be speaking at Cebit. MoGeneration also contribute open source code either by contributing to existing projects or starting our own such as FunctionalKit.
